By using Offline Rituals, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay - but please don't use the service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Panorama Faustoso LDA, trading as Offline Rituals, a company registered in Portugal (NIPC 516512404).
Offline Rituals provides one new ritual each month. When you subscribe, you receive:
Rituals are designed for families with children roughly ages 6–16, require no preparation or special supplies, and take approximately one hour each.
Founding membership. A founding membership renews at the founding rate ($60/year) for as long as it stays active - we will not raise it. It stays active while it renews without a break, including while a failed renewal payment is being retried. It ends if you cancel and your paid year runs out, if a failed payment is never completed, or if you switch to another plan; after that, re-subscribing is at the price we charge then.
Payments are handled by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record: Creem takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and may appear on your card statement. We never see or store your full card details.
Monthly, annual, and founding subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel - see Section 5. You can cancel any time from Settings → Manage plan in the app, or by emailing support@offlinerituals.com.
Prices of the monthly and annual plans may change, but we will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before any price change takes effect on their account, and existing annual subscribers will always finish their current billing cycle at the original price. The founding rate does not change while a founding membership stays active (see above).
Our promise: If Offline Rituals isn't the right fit for your family, we want to make it right.
You may request a full refund within 30 days of any payment - no questions asked. Simply email us and we'll process your refund promptly.
If you have an extraordinary circumstance beyond the 30-day window, please reach out. We're a family too, and we'll always try to do the right thing.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's how it works:
To cancel, open Settings → Manage plan in the app. That takes you to the customer portal of Creem, our payment provider, where you can cancel or change your plan and update your payment details. Or email support@offlinerituals.com and we will process your cancellation within two business days.
Please note: once a founding membership ends, the founding rate is gone for good. Re-subscribing later is at the price we charge then.
As we are based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of subscribing without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
However, by subscribing and receiving ritual content during this 14-day period, you acknowledge that delivery of digital content has begun with your consent. If you have already received ritual content, any refund may be adjusted to reflect the content delivered.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at support@offlinerituals.com with a clear statement of your decision. Our 30-day satisfaction guarantee (Section 4) exceeds this statutory minimum.
Basically: use them for your family, not for business. If you're a school, therapist, or organisation interested in using our rituals professionally, please get in touch - we'd love to explore that with you.
A gift is a one-time purchase of one year. It never renews, and nothing is ever charged to the person who receives it. The gift code never expires: the recipient can redeem it whenever they're ready, and their year starts on the day they do. When the year ends without a membership after it, the journal stays as it is when a membership is cancelled (see section 11): written memories stay, photos and voice recordings are kept for 60 days.
The purchaser can ask for a full refund within 30 days of buying a gift, as long as the code hasn't been redeemed yet. Once it has been redeemed, the gift belongs to the recipient and is no longer refundable.
Gift subscriptions cannot be converted to cash or transferred to a different product. A gift can't be opened on an account that is paying for a subscription at the time - the recipient can open it with a different email address instead. Once claimed, the recipient's subscription is subject to all standard terms.
All ritual content, illustrations, design, copy, and branding belong to Offline Rituals. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content for private family use - not ownership of it.
The Offline Rituals name, logo, and brand identity are our trademarks. Please don't use them in ways that suggest endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.
Everything your family adds - memories, words, photos, voice recordings, pages - belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to your family in order to run the service. We never publish it, sell it, or use it to train anything.
Please only add content you have the right to add, and nothing unlawful, abusive, or that exposes someone else's private information without their consent. We may remove content that breaks this, and we will report content that puts a child at risk.
We collect only what we need and we never sell your data. Ever.
What we collect: Your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Creem - we never see your full card details), the memories, photos and voice notes you save, and your phone number if you opt in to text messages. Our Privacy Policy lists everything we store and why.
How we use it: To deliver your rituals, process payments, send occasional updates about Offline Rituals, and improve the service. That's it.
What we don't do: Sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We don't run ads. We don't track you across the internet.
Your rights under GDPR: As an EU-based service, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@offlinerituals.com.
Third-party services: We use Creem for payments, Resend for email delivery, Twilio or Telnyx for text messages, Cloudflare for hosting and storage, and PostHog for analytics (in the EU, the EEA and the UK only with your consent; elsewhere you can turn it off under Cookie settings). Each of these services has its own privacy policy and processes data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
If you cancel, or a gifted year ends: your written memories stay in your journal and stay readable. Photos and voice recordings are kept for 60 days after your membership or gifted year ends, and we email you 14 days before they are deleted. You can download your data at any time from Settings, and delete your account there too. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly how long each kind of data is kept.
If we ever close: we will email every account holder at least 60 days before the service shuts down, and keep the download of your family's data working until it does.

You can unsubscribe from news emails at any time via the link in any of them, and turn the monthly ritual email off in Settings. You'll always receive transactional emails related to your account while your subscription is active.

Offline Rituals is provided "as is." Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months prior to any claim. We're a small family operation doing our best, and we ask for your grace as we grow.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for matters that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including EU consumer protection regulations.
The rituals are activities for families to do together, and a grown-up should supervise all of them - especially those with candles or flames, cooking or hot drinks, being outdoors, or being out in the dark. You know your family, your children and your space best: adapt or skip any part that doesn't feel safe, and use your own judgement about what is right for you.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a plan, and a parent or guardian of any child you add to your family's journal. The rituals themselves are designed for families with children roughly ages 6–16, but the account holder must be an adult.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that:
This is genuinely rare. We'd much rather have a conversation first. If we do terminate an account for cause, we are not obligated to provide a refund.
We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Minor clarifications may be made without notice. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when these terms were most recently revised.
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, where Offline Rituals is based. Any disputes would be handled in the courts of Lisbon. However, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your own country of residence.
