Children's Privacy
Last updated: February 2026
Short version: Offline Rituals is built for adults. Children never create their own accounts. If a child's name and birth year appear in your family's archive, it's only because you - the parent or guardian - chose to add them.
Who this page is for
This page explains, in plain language, how Offline Rituals treats information about children. It complements our privacy policy, which covers our full data practices.
Offline Rituals is for adults
Offline Rituals is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults managing a family's ritual archive. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or subscribe (see our terms of service). We don't knowingly offer accounts to, collect information directly from, or market to children under 16.
What we store about a child
Children don't sign up, sign in, or hold accounts. The only information we ever store about a child is what a parent or guardian voluntarily adds while setting up their family archive: the child's name and, optionally, their birth year (used only to tailor ritual suggestions to their age). Any journal entries, quotes, photos, or voice recordings involving a child are also added and controlled entirely by the parent or guardian running the account - a child never submits this content themselves. None of it is sent to advertising, analytics or AI services.
We don't independently verify a family member's age or identity - it's entirely up to the adult account holder what they choose to record.
How a parent or guardian can remove a child's data
You have two ways to remove a child's information:
- Delete it yourself. As the account holder, you can remove a family member at any time in Settings. Removing someone takes their name off the family, but the memories already kept with them stay in the journal - so you can delete any memory, photo or voice recording yourself from its page in the journal.
- Email us. A parent or guardian can email support@offlinerituals.com at any time to request that a specific child's name, birth year, and every entry, photo and recording about them be removed at once. We'll confirm the request comes from the account holder and act on it promptly.
If you want to remove everything tied to your account - not just a child's information - you can also use the self-service account deletion option in your account settings, or reach us the same way.
If you believe we collected something we shouldn't have
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, without a parent or guardian's involvement, please contact us immediately at support@offlinerituals.com and we'll investigate and remove it.
